What is Co-Management?
Assisting in the preoperative and postoperative care of LASIK and cataract patients, a co-management relationship is convenient and cost-effective for patients. Basically, co-management means that after we at Long Beach Laser Center perform your LASIK or cataract surgery, you can return to your optometrist for postoperative care. Co-management ensures continuity of care, as local optometrists are typically a patient’s primary eye care doctor who they will visit for yearly vision and eye health examinations. Your optometrist can monitor and manage any changes in your vision; if you require procedural touch-ups (such as secondary cataract treatment after cataract surgery), then they can refer you back to us for further treatment.
Our LASIK surgeons are panel members of The California Optometric Laser Associates (COLA, Inc.), which selects only top refractive surgeons for their network of over 1000 optometrists in California, ensuring exceptional surgeon skill and state-of-the-art technology.
